First, develop a routine
If possible, sweep vinyl flooring daily. Do this to eliminate sand and dirt, especially with outdoor pets who may track in. The dirt is sharp can scratch and embed between the boards.
Mop every other week. However, depending on the size of your family and the amount of foot traffic, you may have to do it more often.

If you can, use a microfiber mop, as sponges tend to push the dirt around. However, string mops dilute the dirt, and some can even harbor bacteria and germs, so they are not the first choice.
Speaking of germs, be sure to change the water several times during the cleaning!
Before you wet-mop your luxury vinyl flooring, vacuum or sweep thoroughly, make sure to get into corners, baseboards, and under furniture.
Avoid abrasive tools and detergents or waxy, shine-promoting ones, the latter damaging the finish and dulling the floor.
The best cleaner is one cup of apple cider vinegar (ACV) to one-gallon hot water; if you want to disinfect, use white vinegar instead of ACV. If you want a little more shine, add a few drops of baby oil to the cleaning solution.

- Rubsome WD-40 or jojoba oil on a clean towel and rub until the scuffsdisappear
- Foodstains, such as grape or tomato juice, ketchup, mustard, etc., canbe removed with a paste of baking soda and water
- Rubbingalcohol eliminates hair dye, lipstick, and ink
- Whilemineral spirits get rid of paint, marker stains, and crayons
